Yes! Shutters are easy to clean, preserve and are extremely durable which means there is very little work required to keep them looking in great condition.
To clean your shutters, you can either use a dry microfiber cleaning cloth, duster or even the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner. SImply, softly sweep the nozzle across each louver to remove the build up of dust. And for those tricky corners, we always find using a soft new toothbrush is a great way of removing dust and debris.
Please don’t use water to clean wooden shutters, as this can damage and warp the wood and we would also avoid using all purpose cleaners as these can leave stains.
If you are worried about damaging the panels when you’re cleaning windows or redecorating, you can easily remove them without having to move the frame. Once you’ve finished, the panels drop perfectly back into place maintaining alignment and returning to their original position to ensure normal operation.
And what about maintenance?
You won’t have to worry about maintaining your shutters too much, but if the louvres are operated regularly you may find that they don’t hold their position. This is a simple issue to fix.
On the side of the panel is a hole with a tension screw. Simply tighten this gently with a screwdriver and the tension will be adjusted on the louvres.
And for your peace of mind, as well as 3 years full warranty, if any parts are damaged, they can be replaced directly from the factory ensuring the finish, colour and size are all as originally ordered.
