How do shutter blinds help with insulation?

By 1gdfs4 on April 23, 2026

Shutter blinds create an additional layer of insulation across your window, trapping air between the glass and the room. This helps keep heat inside during winter and reduces solar heat gain in summer, potentially lowering your energy bills. Solid panel shutters offer the greatest insulation, while louvred shutter blinds still provide a noticeable improvement over standard fabric blinds or curtains.
